Bowers & Wilkins has launched P3 Series 2 on-ear, portable headphones for audiophiles with a black leather finish and new drive unit for better performance.
If you thought that Bowers & Wilkins was done updating their headphones, you were wrong. Fresh off the heels of announcing an update to their P7 headphones, Bowers & Wilkins just announced their new P3 Series 2. The P3 Series 2 is a new and improved version of the company’s award-winning P3 headphones. We’re big fans of Bowers & Wilkins headphones and can’t wait to try the new P3 Series 2.
The original P3 Series 2 was known as one of the most luxurious, lightweight on-ear headphones that also delivered great sound quality.
Like the original, the P3 Series 2 is geared towards the audiophile on the go. Its lightweight frame and innovative folding mechanism are strong and comfortable. When folded, the P3 Series 2 is small enough to fit into a large coat pocket or purse. It also comes with its own hard shell carry case to protect it when not in use.
Bowers & Wilkins says its engineers have developed a new, small drive unit, The driver unit uses a unique damping system to control diaphragm movement. The result, the company claims, is incredibly precise sound. You also get big, extended bass that packs a remarkable punch for a headphone of its size.
P3 Series 2 keeps the light, portable and foldable elements of the P3 headphone but now benefits from a premium black leather finish. The P3 Series 3 is crafted from the finest materials, including aluminum and sheep leather, for performance, luxury and durability.
P3 Series 2 comes with a remote/microphone attachment that works seamlessly with an iPhone and another ‘universal’ cable that ensures compatibility with all other mobile phones and MP3 players. Swapping cables is easy, and simply involves popping off the replaceable ear pads.
The new P3 Series 2 is priced at $149.99 and available online immediately at: www.bowers-wilkins.com/Online-Shop/shop#Headphones
